The view west from the Black Cloud Mine tailings pond in Iowa Gulch.  Mt. Massive catches the sunlight across the Arkansas River Valley.

The Clear Grit Mine on the south side of the Black Cloud Mine tailings pond.

A View of the headframe of the Black Cloud Mine which was operated by ASARCO until 1999.  The surface plant of the Black Cloud was demolished in 2011.

The First National Mine headframe is typical of many that remain in the Leadville district.

A gallows-style headframe at one of the smaller Leadville mines.

The headframe of the Robert Emmett Mine is in good repair.
